Mohamed Othman is a Technical Consultant with a Master's degree in Computer Software Engineering. He is an expert in Geospatial Services and Location Intelligence, with a strong background in working with international teams and clients in Geographic Information Systems, web applications, and geospatial data solutions. With over 10 years of relevant experience, Mohamed has a proven track record of providing geospatial data analysis, map content source evaluation, market research, and competitive analysis. He has been involved in all phases of the software development life cycle, including business requirements analysis, design, development, deployment, end-user training, and customer support. Currently, Mohamed works as a Regional Sourcing professional for TomTom, where he is responsible for finding new geospatial data sources in the Middle East. He provides geospatial data analysis, QC, ETL, and mining maps data using PostgreSQL, FME, QGIS, and ArcGIS. Mohamed also supports partners and business development activities, drives and maintains partnerships with potential suppliers and partners from Government and private organizations across different sectors to bring location data sources. Previously, Mohamed worked as a Senior Software Engineer - GIS Developer for Esri Saudi Arabia, where he developed and deployed Economic Atlas Web and Mobile Application using JavaScript and Qt/QML. He also led and managed the GIS operations and development in Data, Software, and Applications for The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology in Saudi Arabia. Mohamed has also worked as an Applications Development Manager for Farsigeotech, where he managed and led a technical team of 5 Developers for developing and implementing Web and Mobile GIS Solutions and Applications on the cloud. He provided technical support for business operations, presales, RFPs, and tenders. He also designed and implemented competitive edge Mobile Data Collector, Web Map Viewers Application. Mohamed has a diverse skill set, including Web and Mobile development, software engineering, research science, data engineering, JavaScript, and ETL. He is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Building Infrastructures For Geo-information Sharing from the Faculty of Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation (ITC) of the University of Twente. Mohamed holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the Faculty of Computer and Information Science (FCIS) Ain Shams University.
